12 Days on Australia’s East Coast

If you are dreaming of a trip that combines vibrant cities, wild nature, paradise islands and ancient rainforests, a 12-day journey along Australia’s east coast is the perfect route. This adventure takes you from iconic Sydney to the ancient Daintree Rainforest in northern Queensland, passing through spectacular beaches, national parks and extraordinary natural wonders.

The journey begins with the energy of Sydney Harbour, where the impressive Harbour Bridge and the Opera House welcome travellers from around the world. After that, nothing feels better than relaxing at the famous Bondi Beach, a perfect place for surfing, walking along the coast or simply enjoying the sun before heading towards the Blue Mountains, known for their deep valleys, waterfalls and breathtaking viewpoints.

From there, the trip continues north to Brisbane, the capital of Queensland, a city that blends urban life with beautiful outdoor spaces. From Brisbane you can also take a detour to visit Moreton Island, a stunning sand island that is perfect for snorkelling and adventure.

Next, you can fly or travel by road to Hamilton Island, the gateway to the legendary Whitsundays. This group of tropical islands is famous for its crystal-clear turquoise waters and postcard-worthy beaches. The route then continues to Airlie Beach, a lively coastal town where many travellers begin their explorations of the surrounding islands.

Heading further north, you will arrive in Townsville, followed by a visit to Magnetic Island, a natural sanctuary known for its hidden beaches and unique Australian wildlife, including koalas.

The final days of the journey take place in Cairns, a vibrant city surrounded by tropical rainforest and known as the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef.

From there, the trip ends in the majestic Daintree Rainforest, believed to be the oldest tropical rainforest on Earth and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where incredible biodiversity and breathtaking landscapes create an unforgettable ending to the adventure.
