Kibbeh, a delight from Lebanese cuisine, brings us exquisite lamb croquettes. Surprise your guests with this easy and homemade recipe that will transport you to the authentic flavors of the Middle East.
Ingredients for Kibbeh:
– 500g minced lamb
– 300g fine bulgur
– ½ onion
– Vegetable oil for frying
– Ground black pepper
– Salt

Ingredients for the filling:
– 400g minced beef
– 1 onion
– 2 garlic cloves
– 100g fried pine nuts
– A handful of chopped fresh parsley
– ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
– 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
– ½ teaspoon ground cumin
– Red pepper flakes (optional)
– Salt

Preparation:
1. Soak the bulgur in water for 10 minutes. Drain it and mix it in a bowl with the minced lamb.
2. Sauté the onion in a pan with oil and add it to the bowl. Season with salt and pepper, and mix until you get a homogeneous mixture.
3. Sauté onion and garlic in a pan, add the minced beef, pine nuts, cinnamon, paprika, cumin, and salt. Cook and add the parsley.
4. Shape balls from the bulgur and lamb mixture. Flatten them, place a tablespoon of the filling, and close the croquettes into a pointed shape.
5. Heat oil to 180ºC and fry the croquettes until golden brown. Drain them on absorbent paper.
